Sitel Corp., Baltimore, is projecting revenue growth this year, after reporting this month that its fourth-quarter 2000 revenues were lower than for the same period in 1999.
The company's net income in the last three months of 2000 were $3.6 million, down from $4.6 million in the same period in 1999. Sitel blamed higher tax rates and lower revenues for the decrease in profits.
Fourth-quarter revenues fell to $186.7 million from $205.7 million in the fourth quarter of 1999. However, Sitel projected overall 2001 revenues to grow by $850 million to $890 million, up from $764.4 million in 2000.
