“Future Leaders”

Malcolm and Simone Collins, self-proclaimed ‘pronatalists’, have embarked on an ambitious project to help offset the dropping birth rate with their plan to raise seven to twelve children. They are committed to cultivating success in entrepreneurship or academia within their offspring by the time they reach adulthood.

The Collins’ unique parenting strategy integrates high-quality education with a strong entrepreneurial mindset, fostering in their children a drive for accomplishment and a passion for discovery. The overarching goal is to develop their offspring into future leaders, thus contributing positively to the future economy.

Currently having four children, this couple diverges significantly from common parenting norms, particularly in regard to financing their children’s education. They prioritize creating an in-house learning environment over traditional schooling, offering a gamut of instruction from beginner literacy to specialized subjects fit for PhD level studies.

This homeschooling approach focuses on meeting individual learning needs and fostering a familial bond.

Despite the financial costs, this unique system successfully nurtures intellectual growth, bolsters family relationships, and instills a sense of independence in their children.

As for higher education, both Malcolm and Simone Collins relied on financial aid and scholarship, which shaped their perspective on financing their children’s post-secondary education. Instead of assuming the typical financial responsibility, they encourage their children to follow a similar route, developing leadership skills and learning fiscal responsibility from a young age.

The Collins are open to investment in business pitches from their matured teenagers, effectively redefining the financial obligations in parenthood. This approach encourages entrepreneurial ventures, fostering personal growth, life skills, and financial literacy. Ultimately, they aspire not only to build a large and successful family but also to instill a holistic perspective in their children, fostering independence and prosperity.
