Staples Inc., Framingham, MA, has chosen i-traffic, New York, for all online advertising and direct marketing efforts for Staples.com, its e-commerce business unit.
According to spokeswoman Shannon Lapierre, Staples will continue to use Cliff Freeman as the firm's agency of record for television and radio.
I-traffic will manage online media planning and buying for Staples.com as well as all online creative development needed to drive transacting traffic to the company's site.
I-traffic CEO Scott Heiferman expressed enthusiasm for the account, noting that Staples.com was motivated to test new direct marketing strategies and out-of-the-box creative ideas.
Other i-traffic clients include Bertelsmann's DoubleDay Book Clubs, Beyond.com, ConsumerInfo.com, Disney Online, ESPN.com, SelfCare and USA Networks Interactive.
Staples Inc. is a $7 billion retailer of office supplies, furniture and
technology. Staples.com was launched late last year.
