NBC and Egreetings Network Inc. announced on Nov. 24 a marketing venture in which the companies will use each other’s respective mediums to cross-market to customers. Egreetings will send free e-mails to members that favorably depict NBC shows. In return, NBC will invest in Egreetings’ equity and promote the e-mail company with on-air ads. “Every time someone sends a free greeting featuring a favorite NBC show or character, another person is touched by that message and may send a greeting as well,” said Egreetings CEO Gordon M. Tucker. “It’s a contagious way of building a mindshare.”
